About Cherry Goldenberg
The graphic artist Cherry Goldenberg, trained in Munich and Los Angeles, uses the medium of photography to create her own image worlds.
Her works, as well as the people depicted are shrill, bizarre and even trashy. They love the game of masking, disguise, exposure, provocation and ironic staging. The people in her works become art figures in a self-created artificial world.
By doing so she reflects on the medium of photography its power of creating powerful images and on her criticism of the current Zeitgeist in which man is often only a staged product of the media.
Cherry Goldenberg has also been developing neon-art installations since 2014.
