As a child, most of us liked to paint.
Thanks to graffiti Matthias Mross never stopped painting during his youth.
On the contrary, it was fully in focus. Meanwhile, the choice of his motives has changed significantly. What remains is his penchant for the rich and vibrant colors with which he paints his canvases and house facades alike today.
The influence from his studies as an illustrator is clearly visible in the incredibly detailed, towering mountains, mostly houses, huts, garbage, luggage or rubble that are portrayed in his works. Using these methods he creates surreal worlds of color on which the viewer still notices something new even on the 100th view.
